Our last Italian recipe ( The Battuto ), forms a great base for lots of very healthy Italian recipes, this Tomato Sugo, is no different. You can make it in bulk, and store it and it will keep. This also goes with SLIME yes another Italian recipe.

Tomato Sugo recipe
Ingredients
Battuto
500gms (1lb.0 fresh Tomatoes
1 tin peeled Tomatoes
Fresh basil (chopped)
2 cloves Garlic
Salt & Pepper
Method
1. Boil fresh tomatoes for 10 minutes, cool and peel. Combine the battuto with chopped basil, fresh garlic, salt, pepper, fresh tomatoes and tinned tomatoes.
2. Blend and store in bottles, adding a drop of olive oil before sealing the lid.
