Sauces – The Finishing Touches
Sometimes, it nice to add some additional flavour to any healthy meal. That being said, it still means that you can eat healthy, with these finishing sauces on your meal.

Coriander Chimichurri
This simple South American sauce add freshness to grilled meats. In a food processor or blender, combine 1 cup of coriander leaves, 1/2 a cup olive oil 1/3 of a cup of lime juice, 2 garlic cloves and 1/2 a teaspoon each of chilli flakes and salt. Pulse the ingredients until finely chopped.
Spicy Chilli Sauce
A smear of this hot and sweet sauce during barbecuing for an extra layer of heat, or use it for dipping at the table. (Have a beer nearby to extinguish the chilli heat). To make it, stir together 1/2 of a cup of Asian Chilli sauce with 1/3 of a cup of maple syrup and min in 2 finely chopped spring onions.
Easy Lemon Aioli
This French mayonnaise adds a creamy kick to kebabs. To make it in minutes, use a shortcut: a jar of shop-bought mayo. Whisk together 1/2 a cup of olive oil, mayonnaise with 1 finely chopping garlic clove, 1 teaspoon of grated lemon zest and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Sweet & Sour Sauce
Add in a heated wok :- 1 tablespoon of water, 1/2 teaspoon so sour chilli sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of tomato puree, 1/2 tablespoon of finely chopped white onion, 1/2 tablespoon of finely chopped pineapple, 1/2 tablespoon of finely chopped tomato, 1/2 teaspoon of crushed ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable oil.
Heat wok with vegetable oil and add all ingredients (except water and sour chilli/tomato sauces) – starting with onion. Fry for a few seconds then add all remaining ingredients. ring to simmer and serve in a cocktail glass,
