Apple Strudel
Desserts are just fine when you are dieting. Just remember moderation is what counts when eating desserts. This apple Strudel recipe is simple to make and very tasty. You friends and family will love it.
Apple strudel recipe
Ingredients
- 1x 800g can pie apples
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ cup sultanas
- 8 sheets filo pastry
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Cooking spray
Method
Preheat the oven to 200d.
Combine apple cinnamon and sultanas in a mixing bowl
Fold-out the pastry sheets, placing one sheet on top of the other, spraying cooking spray between each layer.
Place the apple filling along the centre of the pastry. Spray the edges with cooking spray then fold right and left edges inwards, spray again and roll and filling carefully.
Place strudel with fold side underneath on a baking tray that has been coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle sugar and a little cinnamon over strudel. Pierce top to let out steam.
Bake in the oven for 30 -40 minutes or until golden brown.
